Welcome to our new website.
We, Janet & Chris, former owners of The Spelt Bakery, established in 1998 and closed February 7, 2011, are happy to present you with many services, spelt cookbooks, workshops, organic white spelt flour, baking kits, etc..
After 12 years operating Vancouver’s Original Spelt Bakery, we have decided to retire from the baking industry and use our intellectual property to continue serving you in the world of SPELT!!
Our goal is to educate you about this grain and help provide you with everything you need to make your own spelt baked goods with a minimum effort, enjoying sharing it with your friends & family at a minimum cost and as often as you need it.
Since we have been closed, it is very difficult to find good spelt breads on the market, using organic ingredients, especially white spelt flour, a much easier flour to digest with more protein than whole spelt. Our flour is unbleached, unprocessed and 100% Canadian & organic. We are also able to supply you with this wonderful flour at a good price with the buyers group, as it has become nearly impossible to get white spelt flour in Vancouver.
We now have the time & energy to provide you, dear Spelties, an array of information and services that can help you be educated and have access to anything to do with that wonder grain that is SPELT.
We look forward to a long and prosperous business venture in educating the world about SPELT!
